My area has a beautiful small park called Brick Pond Park. My wife and I love to walk the park at different times of the day. There is so much wildlife attracted to the ponds teaming with fish. Sam, as we have named him, is a very large Great Blue Heron. Sam does not seem to be too excited to see humans close by. He usually allows us some great photography while he hunts.
The Brick Pond Park is located in North Augusta South Carolina. This Great Blue Heron took time from hunting to take care of an itch. We notice these birds love to prune themselves a lot. Many times we will clap our hands to have them pose. Some Herons are so used to people, your presence does not seem to bother them.
